Python DevOps Engineer
Join the cutting-edge data management team at one of our world-renowned entertainment clients. As a Senior Python DevOps Engineer, you'll play a key role in building and maintaining the infrastructure that enables every enterprise data source to flow seamlessly into data warehouses like Snowflake via AWS serverless technologies. This role combines deep Python OOP development with cloud engineering and DevOps expertise. Key Responsibilities Design and implement high-throughput, low-latency, scalable Python code using object-oriented principles. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions (or Jenkins), ensuring reliable and automated deployments. Manage and optimize AWS services including IAM, S3, Lambda, DMS, Fargate, and Kinesis. Collaborate with data engineers and software engineers to triage issues, explain technical concepts, and support platform operations. Implement infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation. Participate in on-call rotations to support platform reliability and incident response. Propose and implement architectural improvements to enhance performance and scalability. Provide technical mentorship and conduct code reviews with a focus on clean, maintainable code. Must-Have Qualifications 6+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on Python OOP. Proven experience in DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automation, and containerization. Hands-on experience with AWS services: IAM, S3, Lambda, DMS, Kinesis, Fargate. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation. Strong understanding of distributed systems and data platform engineering. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical teams.
