Insight Global is seeking a Remote IP Network Engineer to support our telecommunications client. This individual will support the design, deployment, and optimization of its IP and transport network infrastructure. This engineer will define, design, and implement network systems using core engineering principles focused on availability, efficiency, redundancy, scalability, and security. The role includes auditing and forecasting bandwidth, managing capacity, hardware, software licensing, and hosted devices, while ensuring optimal performance through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Technologies, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, or related field

Experience in service provider, telecommunications, or data center environments, with an understanding of large-scale network operations.

4-6 years of experience with the configuration of Cisco, Nokia, and Juniper routers or switches

Experience creating and editing network drawings using Microsoft Visio application

Experience with Metsaolv, Palto Alto, and Timing - Experience with common transport technologies such as Ethernet, SONET, TDM, Fiber, Microwave, Satellite, WiFi, and cellular

Certifications in:

Cisco CCNA / CCNP

Nokia NRS I / NRS II

Brocade BCNE / BCNP

Juniper JNCIA / JNCIS null
