Firmware Engineer

for a

contract

with a client in

Longmont, CO.

Candidates must have hands-on expertise in triaging SSD firmware issues and working with tools like Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.

Rate Range:

$53/hour to 56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Firmware Engineer job responsibilities include:

Review and analyze failures from daily and weekly SSD firmware validation runs, performing first-level triage. Assign and track issues by filing Firmware and Test bug JIRAs and following up on resolution progress. Collaborate with test developers and execution teams to rerun lab and environment failures and validate fixes. Utilize Git for version control, including branch management, merging, and conflict resolution. Develop and maintain Python-based test automation scripts and integrate with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Bitbucket. Apply domain knowledge of SSD interfaces (PCIe/NVMe, SATA, SAS) and NAND flash to support firmware validation and debugging. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of industry experience in firmware development and validation. Strong programming skills in Python and hands-on experience with SSD firmware testing and failure analysis. Deep understanding of storage interfaces (PCIe/NVMe, SATA, SAS) and experience with tools like Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines. If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW. Pay Details:

$53.00 to $56.00 per hour
