Iron Eagle specializes in industrial services, focusing on industrial cleaning, emergency spill response, and waste management. We are expanding our operations and seeking DRIVERS to join our team at our location in Hastings, MN! Overview
We are seeking CDL Drivers to operate specialized equipment for environmental remediation and hazardous waste management services. This role combines professional driving with technical expertise in handling potentially dangerous materials and operating complex vacuum/pumping systems. This is NOT a typical "OTR" driving position it is truly a hybrid Driver/Field Technician role where you will serve as the primary Driver while assisting the Field Technicians with various duties. You will spend an equal amount of time in & out of your tuck/equipment. Must have a class A or B CDL with Tanker, HazMat, and Manual Endorsements. Requirements
Must have a Class A CDL with a Manual endorsement OR; A Class B CDL with Manual, Tanker, and Hazmat Endorsements Responsibilities
Conduct pre-trip inspections Perform light maintenance and repairs Load/unload Vac Trucks, Transports, and Rolloffs, etc. Occasional long-distance hauling (approx. 10%) Load and secure heavy equipment Maintain proper placarding and labeling of vehicles Complete all necessary documentation for DOT/MnDOT, etc. Transportation & Equipment Operation
Operate Class A/B commercial vehicles including vacuum trucks, pump trucks, roll-off trucks, and specialized hazmat transport vehicles Navigate to industrial sites, refineries, chemical facilities, and emergency response locations Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on complex equipment systems Maintain accurate driver logs and equipment maintenance records Hazardous Materials Handling
Transport hazardous waste in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocols Load and unload various waste streams including liquids, sludges, and contaminated materials Properly secure and manifest hazardous cargo for transport Technical Equipment Operations
Set up and operate industrial vacuum trucks with high-capacity pumping systems Connect appropriate hoses, fittings, and manifolds for different tank configurations Operate positive displacement pumps, centrifugal pumps, and compressed air systems Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform basic field repairs Emergency Response Services
Respond to oil spills, chemical releases, and environmental incidents Deploy containment booms, absorbent materials, and recovery equipment Work extended hours during emergency situations and weather events Coordinate with incident commanders and regulatory agencies on-site Tank and Vessel Cleaning
Enter confined spaces following proper safety procedures and permitting Operate high-pressure washing systems and specialized cleaning equipment Remove sludges, scale, and hazardous residues from storage tanks and process vessels Set up ventilation and atmospheric monitoring equipment Shift/Schedule
Standard shift time is 7am, however, due to the nature of our business some flexibility is required (there will be occasional start times before or after 7am. You may also work more than 8 hours/day depending on project/client needs. You will be notified of schedule changes in a timely manner). This is a Full Time position, however some weeks may ebb & flow between full time, overtime, and slightly less than 40 hours depending on current job needs and priorities. On Call
Due to the nature of our business in industrial services, you are expected to adhere to our On-Call Rotation Schedule, which requires you to commit to at least 1 On-Call week per month (Thursday Thursday). Our goal is to keep the On-Call schedule limited to one week per month, however, some flexibility may be required in busy seasons and emergency events. We do our best to work with employees on their work/life schedules. Travel
Due to the nature of our business in emergency response, you can expect to travel approximately 15% of the year. Travel is usually scheduled, however, some emergency spill response requires unscheduled travel as well. You must be flexible and willing to mobilize when an emergency event arises. Benefits & Perks
