Jobs via Dice Overview This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following location(s): AZ, GA, NC and TX We are looking for a hands-on Lead Software Engineer who provides technology solutions and integration services in the areas of Payments & Money movement, information reporting. The ideal candidate should have the necessary skills and experience to provide technical guidance, effort estimation, and to determine the best technology solutions to meet business needs. They should be capable of day-to-day application support, navigating uncertainties, and communicating effectively with IT management, team members, and stakeholders. The candidate must be able to work efficiently, deliver quickly, and balance short- and long-term strategic planning, including coding and overseeing distributed teams. Responsibilities Lead all software aspects of the team including research, design, technology insertion, development, testing, and support. Design and develop technical solutions that meet functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability requirements. Provide leadership in architecture, strategy, design, and development for client-facing payment platforms. Implement best practices, standards, and guidelines within the department. Focus on creating a high-quality developer experience with well-documented, secure, and maintainable code. Drive technical design consensus and ensure solutions are reusable and extendable. Analyze impact of changes, consider trade-offs, and assess costs and benefits. Maintain application architecture and serve as the architecture resource for the development team. Supervise release processes, which may include after-hours or weekend work.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience or High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of experience in software development and maintenance. Preferred skills include technical leadership in enterprise projects, troubleshooting, AWS, Docker, OpenShift, distributed systems, Node, React, Java/J2EE, RESTful Webservices, Spring Boot Microservices, API development, database architecture, Agile methodologies, and experience with payment technologies and industry standards.
