NOTE: THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD Position Responsibilities: Assess and validate FSEU to ensure safety, reliability, and performance specifications, operational constraints, launch environments, site conditions, and compliance with energy/environmental regulations. Ensure engineering team assesses conditions, identifies potential failures, determines causes, and issues corrective actions. Oversee design, analysis, construction, supervision, inspection, and engineering services (SIES). Responsible for Engineering Review Board and Configuration Control Board activities. Verify compliance with LCAT standards. Provide guidance and decisions aligned with NASA and professional engineering standards. Review technical work for compliance, guide technical approaches, and analyze system designs. Serve as the senior technical representative of SOCS for reviews and advisory boards, including safety, quality, and risk assessments. Support NASA technical, program, and planning reviews as needed. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, or structural engineering. Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Florida (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Structural). CMRP, OSHA 30 certifications preferred. 20+ years in the respective discipline. 10+ years leading teams responsible for contract-wide engineering functions related to O&M of large infrastructure and hazardous systems. Familiarity with KSC operations, programs, and launch activities.
