About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Oracle EBS R12 SCM Engineer
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong functional and technical background in the Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Supply Chain Management (SCM) modules, with a
specialty in the shipping execution process and shipping label generation
. You will be responsible for supporting, configuring, and enhancing our Oracle EBS R12 environment to meet our business needs. This role requires a deep understanding of the Oracle shipping process, from pick release to ship confirmation, and the ability to troubleshoot and manage shipping label printing.
Key Responsibilities:
SME for SCM and Shipping:
Act as the subject matter expert for the Oracle EBS R12 SCM modules, with a primary focus on Order Management and Shipping Execution. Shipping Label Management:
Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain the process for generating and printing shipping labels, including integration with third-party shipping systems and carrier APIs. System Configuration and Support:
Provide expert functional and technical support for day-to-day operations, including system configuration, patch analysis, and issue resolution for SCM modules. Process Improvement:
Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for optimization within the Oracle EBS R12 SCM framework. Customization and Development:
Work with technical teams to design, develop, and test custom solutions, including reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements (RICE components), particularly for shipping and logistics. Documentation and Training:
Create detailed functional and technical design documents (MD050/BR100), test scripts, and end-user training materials. Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:
A minimum of [e.g., 5-7] years of hands-on experience with
Oracle EBS R12
, specifically in a functional and/or technical support role. Module Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of core SCM modules, including
Order Management (OM), Inventory (INV), and Shipping Execution (WSH)
. Shipping Label Expertise:
Proven experience in designing, implementing, and supporting shipping label generation within Oracle EBS R12. This includes knowledge of Oracle's Shipping Execution and integration points for label printing. Troubleshooting:
Strong ability to troubleshoot complex issues in the Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) lifecycles. Technical Proficiency:
Working knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL is essential. Experience with Oracle's underlying data model for SCM modules is highly desirable. Communication:
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, end-users, and technical teams. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with
third-party shipping software integrations
(e.g., FedEx, UPS). Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment. Knowledge of related SCM modules such as Purchasing (PO), Warehouse Management System (WMS), or Advanced Pricing (QP). Experience with
Oracle E-Business Suite upgrades
or migrations.
