Part-Time Housekeeper

About the Role
A fast-paced and dynamic family in Austin is searching for an experienced and dedicated Part-Time Housekeeper to manage the care and upkeep of their private residence. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in their work and wants to contribute to a respectful and well-organized household.
The home is approximately 7,000 sq. ft., including a detached casita, and requires a professional who is proactive and committed to maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. The household includes two adults, an elementary-aged child, and a sweet, medium-sized dog. The child is allergic to dust mites, requiring specific bedding and laundry procedures. Schedule & Compensation Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 10:30AM - 3:30PM. or Monday/Wednesday/Friday 10:30AM-5:30PM Compensation and Benefits: $45+ per hour | Depending on experience Healthcare stipend 15 Days of PTO 3 Sick Days 9 Holidays Key Responsibilities Perform cleaning and daily tidying of the main residence with a high attention to detail. Once a week light cleaning / tidying of the casita, and once a month deep cleaning of the casita (800 sqft, mostly open space). Clean interior windows. Sweep, vacuum, dust, and mop all areas to maintain a guest-ready home, with special attention to wood floor care and spot cleaning carpets as needed Kitchen cleaning, including proper care and maintenance of cast iron cookware. Follow a detailed housekeeping manual and checklist. Use approved, non-toxic cleaning products (e.g., vinegar and baking soda) and limited use of specific brands like Seventh Generation or Attitude. Perform monthly interior car cleaning and assist with seasonal deep cleaning and organizational tasks, especially during July and August. Wipe down gym equipment and ensure towels are stocked Refill shampoo/conditioner/soap bottles Refill oil decanters Laundry, steaming/ironing, and sorting of dry cleaning. Pickup/drop off dry cleaning as needed. Daily wipe down of the outside kitchen surfaces, table, and chairs prior to the chef's arrival Put away grocery orders as needed Drop off clothing items to tailor as needed Open to occasional errands Be on-site when dog groomer comes twice a month Qualifications A minimum of 5 years of full-time housekeeping experience in high-caliber homes is preferred Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and fluent in English (written and verbal). Must be reliable, dependable, and comfortable with a medium-sized dog. Detail-oriented, able to follow directions, and takes initiative. Experienced with or willing to learn non-toxic cleaning methods. Understanding of how to care for high-end finishes and materials without using harsh chemicals. Experience managing environments with dust mite allergies is a plus.
