Assignment:
8 hours per day, 12 months per year
Standard work schedule is 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Minimum pay rate is $28.25

Job Responsibilities:
- Work with building leadership and occupants to handle requests and perform daily operations.
- Inspect, monitor, and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, security, fire alarm, and emergency lighting systems/panels.
- Monitor custodial staff performance, provide work direction and training, and review custodial assignments.
- Repair equipment such as desks, chairs, tables, lockers, and other school equipment.
- Perform general maintenance repairs including painting, plumbing, and equipment repairs.
- Coordinate and perform exterior maintenance like lawn mowing, trimming, debris cleanup, cleaning exterior windows and walls, and ensuring sidewalks and stairs are free of ice and snow.
- Clean, repair, test, and operate boilers, water heaters, compressors, and pressure vessels in accordance with Minnesota State Statutes.
- Coordinate receipt and distribution of supplies and equipment within the school.
- Maintain positive relationships with building occupants and coordinate facility use for internal and external customers.
- Order and maintain inventory of custodial and maintenance supplies.
- Current experience as a Head Custodian or Developmental Trainee with the district preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Evidence of State of Minnesota 1st Class C Stationary Engineers License OR a current Special Engineers License and willingness to obtain the 1st class license as soon as permitted by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry.
- Excellent customer service, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Technical skills for district program operations related to Buildings & Grounds.
- Detail-oriented with ability to organize and maintain records.
- Accurate mathematical skills.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-placement physical capabilities examination at Concentra at the district's expense.
