Position Summary
The Vice President, Supply Chain, is responsible for streamlining our pricing & estimating, planning, supply chain, and procurement operations. Success will be measured by delivering an exceptional customer experience that builds trust and loyalty while ensuring the viability of Envision through margin expansion across all lines of business in alignment with the Strategic Plan.
The Vice President, Supply Chain is responsible for developing and executing a revenue life cycle strategy while improving product availability, reducing costs, and enhancing delivery speed, all while maintaining the quality our customers expect and expanding margins for Envision. The Vice President plays a critical role in ensuring the supply chain runs seamlessly and strategically to meet and exceed customer expectations. Responsibilities include driving customer pricing, cost savings, operational efficiency, and value creation, while overseeing pricing & estimating, planning, supply chain, procurement operations, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the achievement of cost and operational targets.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions Include
Strategy & Vision:
  • Develop and communicate a clear vision for the Pricing & Estimating, Planning, and Supply Chain & Procurement functions, aligning it with the overall business strategy.
  • Work collaboratively across functions – Sales, Finance, Product Development, Operations, and Supply Chain -- to accelerate revenue growth and margin expansion.
  • Own the development and execution of the Pricing Strategy for Envision margin products.
  • Own the roadmap for pricing tools.
  • Gain support for strategy and roadmap from stakeholders by writing narratives and influencing peers and senior leadership to facilitate decision-making.
  • Formulate and implement strategies that drive cost savings, efficiency, and value creation.
  • Set agreed upon targets for cost and ensure achievement through effective Pricing & Estimating, Planning, Sourcing, Supply Chain & Procurement practices.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to secure the best value for the organization.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Planning, Supply Chain & Procurement processes and performance.
  • Identify and evaluate new vendors to expand the supplier base and enhance Supply Chain & Procurement options.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key vendors to ensure long-term collaboration and value.
  • Ensure supplier competition is balanced and fair, ensuring the best price, delivery and quality while reducing overall supply chain costs and risks to the organization.
  • Conduct at least annual in-person Vendor Summits. Identifies, recommends, and implements key new suppliers. Performs new and existing supplier technical evaluations, conducts ongoing supplier audits, and leads the negotiation/restructuring process of current and future business relationships.
  • Ensure suppliers are aligned with technical, regulatory, and commercial requirements by working closely with Product Development, Warehousing, Quality, and Production.
Administration
  • Oversee the planning and coordination of Pricing & Estimating, Planning, Supply Chain & Procurement Strategic Initiatives and CPMs to ensure timely and successful execution.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet Pricing & Estimating, Planning, Supply Chain & Procurement objectives and support business needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of different Pricing & Estimating, Planning, Supply Chain & Procurement areas to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership, management, and accountability for the Pricing & Estimating, Planning, Supply Chain & Procurement team.
  • Coordinate with the Senior Vice President of Operations and New Product Development and CAO to develop processes to manage vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
Pricing & Estimating
  • Own the end-to-end process for estimating and price-setting, analysis, and decision-making, applying disciplined data analytics to maximize profitability and adoption.
  • Predict customer behavior at micro-market levels, fine-tune product pricing, and adjust availability to maximize revenue.
  • Own regular monitoring and reporting of pricing performance and product levels.
  • Partner with the Senior Vice President of Operations and New Product Development, Sales, Finance, and Financial Analyst teams to factor in accurate and up-to-date cost information for pricing decisions.
Demand Planning
  • Oversee inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize costs.
  • Lead sales and operations planning to align supply chain activities with business goals.
  • Conduct reporting and analysis to support demand planning and decision-making.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Generate regular and ad hoc Supply Chain & Procurement reports to provide insights and support decision-making.
  • Analyze and summarize Supply Chain & Procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Utilize historical data and market analysis to inform estimating strategies and enhance bid competitiveness. Drive initiatives to improve cost tracking and analysis methodologies.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Sales teams to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Model scenarios that take into consideration financial outcomes, operational needs and customer needs and prepare, present and communicate those scenarios across both divisional and group leadership to enable decision making.
  • Provide recommendations and insights based on Pricing & Estimating, Supply Chain & Procurement data analysis to drive strategic decisions.
  • Develop vendor scorecards to evaluate supplier performance and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Work cross functionally to drive process improvements, standardization, and KPIs
  • Work cross functionally to drive continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions.
Job Requirements Include
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration field required; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environment, with responsibilities of production, purchasing, inventory, and production control. A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role required.
Knowledge/Skills
  • Proven experience maintaining strategic relationships with key vendors to ensure long-term collaboration and value.
  • Experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and performance.
  • Extensive experience in Supply Chain & Procurement roles, with a proven track record of developing and implementing Supply Chain & Procurement strategies that drive cost savings, efficiency, and value creation.
  • Proficiency in Pricing & Estimating, Planning, Supply Chain & Procurement software and tools, as well as strong analytical skills to conduct reporting and analysis to support demand planning and decision-making.
  • Experience in overseeing the planning and coordination of Supply Chain & Procurement projects to ensure timely and successful execution. This includes allocating resources effectively and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in pricing & estimating in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage both strategic and detailed aspects of Supply Chain & Procurement functions. This includes developing high-level strategies that align with the overall business goals, as well as diving deep into the operational details to ensure successful execution and continuous improvement
  • General working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and excellent management skills.
  • Ability to maintain customer confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Very Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications – Access, Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Proven track record involving complex global supply services.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in attracting and developing talent and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cost performance and drive improvement.
  • Extensive experience in the development, negotiation and implementation of contracts, including the management of large multi-national/global suppliers.
  • Experience in developing and utilizing metrics, both internally and externally, to drive performance.
Licenses/Certifications
  • Institute for Supply Management Certification (C.P.M, C.P.S.M) or ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred
