Job Summary:

This position will oversee all daily operations of the facility from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. The General Manager develops processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity. This role provides leadership, strategic direction, and coordination across various departments to achieve operational excellence and meet company objectives. The General Manager is responsible for budgets and profitability as well as has P&L responsibility and will be responsible for partnering with leadership to develop and execute growth strategies for the defense, aerospace and commercial forge businesses. This position will report to the Executive Director/GM onsite in Garland.

Job Summary:

This role provides leadership, strategic direction, and coordination across various departments to achieve operational excellence and meet company objectives. The General Manager is responsible for budgets and profitability as well as has P&L responsibility and will be responsible for partnering with leadership to develop and execute growth strategies for the defense, aerospace and commercial forge businesses. This position will report to the Executive Director/GM onsite in Garland.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage plant operations including production, quality control, maintenance, logistics, safety, and staffing.
  • Develop and execute production plans to meet business goals and customer expectations.
  • Drive operational efficiency by implementing continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma).
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Manage plant budget, control costs, and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and development of plant personnel to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, quality assurance, and other departments to align plant operations with company strategy.
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks or issues to avoid downtime or delays.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and teamwork.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for, military personnel, government agencies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on production, delivery and budgets.
  • Address any issues that arise including conflicts, delays, and unforeseen challenges.
  • Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team, including engineers, supply chain, safety, quality, and administrative staff.
  • Researches and analyzes industry and competitive trends to identify emerging market opportunities and strategic areas of interest.
  • Identifies and prioritizes product and service improvement opportunities and creates plans for implementation.
  • Develops complex forecasting models, budgets, resource allocations, plans for projects and oversees profit and loss alongside company initiatives.
  • Utilizes comprehensive knowledge of company's internal operations to develop forward-looking focus for business.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field. (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial plant operations.
  • Proven track record of managing a high-performing manufacturing facility.
  • Strong knowledge of production management, quality systems, and safety standards.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and KPIs.
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure.
  • Act with integrity and work collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.).
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree

Other Requirements:
  • Travel: ~25% International travel as required.
  • Work Environment: Manufacturing sites, and office work environment
  • Background Investigation / Drug Screen/US Person: Required.
