Position: Senior Tax Manager

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Tax Manager to lead tax compliance, planning, and advisory efforts within our organization. This role will oversee all aspects of federal, state, and local tax filings, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide leadership in tax strategy to optimize the company’s financial position. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with finance and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns
• Manage quarterly and annual tax provisions and related reporting under ASC 740
• Research and interpret complex tax issues, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
• Identify and implement tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and support business objectives
• Oversee relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory agencies
• Provide tax guidance on business transactions, including acquisitions, reorganizations, and expansions
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess potential impacts on the business
• Mentor and develop tax team members, providing leadership and technical guidance
• Partner with senior leadership to align tax strategies with overall financial and business goals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Taxation preferred)
• MBA or CPA designation preferred
• 7+ years of progressive tax experience, including management responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance, as well as ASC 740 reporting
• Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, manage projects, and work cross-functionally
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience in public accounting and/or corporate tax leadership role preferred
