Senior Business Systems Analyst
plays a pivotal role in bridging IT capabilities with business objectives in a dynamic insurance and financial services environment. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills to facilitate detailed requirements gathering, system design collaboration, and cost-reduction strategies across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a liaison between Business Units and IT to identify process improvements and design system solutions. Facilitate planning and execution of requirements activities on complex technical projects. Conduct workshops and interviews to gather and document user and system requirements. Perform
gap analysis , data mapping, and requirements elaboration in alignment with internal methodologies. Support system design processes and coordinate closely with IT to ensure continuity from requirements to delivery. Review test plans, participate in
initial smoke testing , and support implementation phases. Collaborate with Project Managers to manage project scope and timelines. Maintain documentation for procedures, system guidelines, and user training. Required Experience:
Minimum of
5-7+ years
in data and systems-based analysis. Background in complex IT projects with multiple stakeholders. Familiarity with
Group and/or Voluntary Insurance
highly preferred. Exposure to the
Annuity life cycle
(for select projects). Strong documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Nice-to-Have Experience:
Working knowledge of RUP or SLF-style methodologies. Experience collaborating across cross-functional IT teams. Understanding of QA processes and test plan documentation. Required Skills:

UML or similar modeling frameworks MS Visio, Word, Excel Familiarity with web-based applications and mainframe interfaces Additional Skills:
