CNN is seeking a Manager of Marketing Analytics who will be instrumental in expanding CNN’s digital footprint. This individual should be self-motivated, work well independently and as part of a team, and be passionate about their work. The Manager will be a core member of the data analytics team, reporting to the Director of Growth Analytics. Your Role Accountabilities…

Partner closely with growth marketing to maximize the impact of paid and organic campaigns around acquisition and retention of our new subscription and vertical products. Lead analytics for a newly emerging portfolio of digital lifestyle products built for CNN customers. Create forecasts and targets for marketing initiatives and new lines of business in collaboration with partners and executives to determine success metrics. Manage a small team of analysts, partnering cross-functionally across Growth, Product, Strategy, and other teams. Develop the analytics roadmap proactively for both new products and marketing initiatives. Partner with other analytics teams to provide a comprehensive view of CNN for leadership. Qualifications & Experience…

5+ years in analytics, with experience mentoring or managing junior team members. Experience in marketing analytics, especially campaign analysis. Strong knowledge of digital and product analytics: funnels, cohorts, AB testing, OKRs. Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional leaders, particularly in product, growth, or startup environments. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex data into strategic insights. Track record of identifying and formalizing high-impact AB tests with partners. Expertise in SQL for exploring and analyzing large datasets. Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, etc. Key Contributors to Success

Ability to attract, retain, and develop data talent with caring leadership and inclusivity. Collaborative partnership approach. Comfort in communicating complex data concepts to diverse audiences. Logical mindset to balance speed and analytical depth without compromising quality. Passion for data—getting, using, making sense of data, and helping others make data-driven decisions. Nice-to-Haves

BA/BS or higher in Math, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. Experience in analytics and insights in a startup environment. Experience assessing marketing impact via MMM or similar methods. Interest in digital news and relevant digital analytics experience. Leadership experience with small analytics teams. Actual salaries depend on various factors, including experience, location, and performance.
