POSITION SUMMARY The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) leads an integrated team of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, behavioral health consultants, and dental professionals in a patient-centered medical home setting. Working collaboratively with the Chief Executive Officer, the CMO provides vision and oversight for delivering comprehensive, evidence-based, and high-quality care. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Graduated from an accredited medical school. Board certified in the applicable discipline (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatric Medicine). Active and unrestricted licensure in the state of Kansas. Or eligible to obtain one. At least five years of post-residency experience. A minimum of two years of administrative and / or supervisory experience in a community-based healthcare setting. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES HIGHLIGHTS Maintains a culturally competent, high-quality integrated care program to include preventive care, acute care, chronic disease management, dentistry, behavioral health, and community health. Provides management and oversight for a highly productive and integrated team of medical, dental, and behavioral health providers. Responsible for the HPC's Quality Assurance / Improvement (QI / QA) Program. Implements and monitors annual quality improvement plan. Develops, maintains, and supervises required educational activities of clinical staff. Participates in HPC's strategic planning process and assists with implementing and monitoring the plan. Assists in the preparation and oversight of the annual budget. Oversees the recruitment, support, and retention of HPC clinical staff. Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or w / o US residency with current US work visa.
