We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Lead Health and Benefits Consultant to manage and advise client accounts for employers of all sizes with their medical, dental, life, and disability benefit plans and programs. The role involves negotiating with benefits carriers and vendors to secure health and welfare plan coverage. The level of support depends on the size, complexity, and revenue of the account. As the client lead, the senior consultant often acts as the Mercer relationship manager. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
We will count on you to:
Lead complex client engagements, managing overall service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design, renewals, and business placement.
Develop sophisticated benefits design and renewal strategies, creating tools and solutions for complex client issues.
Determine the full scope of services for clients, setting roles and responsibilities within the client team.
Effectively communicate industry insights and latest trends to clients.
Drive revenue and profitability for client accounts and projects, monitor success, and ensure client satisfaction.
Expand existing client relationships and lead prospecting efforts to generate new business.
Lead and participate in new business opportunities with sales channel partners, setting strategic direction and creating demand for new products/services.
What you need to have:
BA/BS degree.
12+ years of experience in designing, recommending, and implementing solutions for complex healthcare benefits challenges.
Renowned expertise and a strong industry reputation in health & benefits.
