Offshore Wind | 29-8-2025 AVP of Development San Diego $175,000 - $225,000 per annum San Diego, CA - Hybrid $175K to $225K + Bonus Kinekta are currently partnered with a veteran utility-scale wind, solar and BESS IPP, that are searching for an AVP of Development to lead the project development and commercial structuring of their projects. Key Responsibilities Oversee and guide project development activities across multiple renewable energy and storage assets. Manage a team of developers and external consultants to advance projects through all phases: site control, permitting, interconnection, engineering, and pre-construction. Lead negotiations with landowners, utilities, regulatory agencies, local governments, and other stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams including origination, finance, engineering, legal, and construction to ensure projects are optimized for long-term ownership. Requirements 5+ years of experience developing utility-scale renewable energy projects - solar, wind or BESS. Experience with full life cycle development through construction to operations. Bachelors degree in engineering, business, environmental science, or related field. Experience across multiple ISOs in the US, WECC .
