Provide architectural and big-picture oversight for development of new or enhanced software products. Responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of the software architecture across the system and providing day-to-day technical guidance to the development teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive software design for agile software teams, including providing patterns, documentation, design diagrams and team direction Define the system, technical, and application architectures for major areas of development and recommend course of action to meet requirements both in the short and long term Identify opportunities / weaknesses in the software and recommend solutions to improve performance and maintainability Research and implement best practices that will provide higher quality implementations, and/or increase reliability of service delivery and improve code re-use Remain abreast of current and emerging technologies and industry trends Mentor teams and individuals on the above principles Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time
EDUCATION DESIRED:
Bachelor's degree desired or equivalent military or work experience SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
7+ years of progressive experience and proficiency in the following:
Web Application Architecture HTML/ AJAX/ CSS/ JSON AngularJS / Angular Web Services (SOAP & REST) C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core Database Architecture (SQL Server, NoSQL) Experience with Node.js, ASP.net and ASP.net Core Experience with Cloud Architecture as well as implementing cloud native solutions in a large public cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP). Service Oriented, N-Tier, Layered and Micro-Services Architectures Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins (or other automation tools) strongly desired Motivated self-starter driven to obtain personal, team and corporate success Ability to excel in a dynamic and demanding environment Strong interpersonal skills, ability to maintain and grow relationships and foster team chemistry Outstanding ability to communicate complex information to various audiences and all levels of the company
