The Position Our bank client seeks to fill a Chief Operating Officer role in Atlanta, GA. The successful candidate will prepare detailed credit analyses for commercial loans and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills to inspire and engage staff.

This role offers a salary up to $180K and a comprehensive benefits package.

Chief Operating Officer responsibilities include:

Lead Branch Operations and Operations Support Services within the Bank.

Oversee client onboarding, account management, money movement, reporting, and coordinate with the CIO and investment team to ensure integration of investment functions and portfolio management.

Develop, monitor, and execute the organization’s strategic business plan, ensuring alignment with vision and objectives. Partner with senior management on policies, products, and processes to maintain competitive edge and financial health. Ensure policy adherence, regulatory compliance, and effective procedures.

Implement technology and digital solutions to improve efficiency and manage change effectively.

Supervise branch operations and support staff via managers to meet organizational goals.

Collaborate on customer and product profitability initiatives and rate strategies.

Prepare operational reports and participate in planning and budgeting.

Support product development initiatives.

Set and monitor branch financial and service delivery goals, ensuring efficient operations and compliance.

Manage branch losses and regulatory compliance.

Mentor and coach managers and staff.

Identify personnel needs and coordinate hiring with HR.

Stay informed on industry trends and regulations, expanding knowledge continually.

Perform additional duties or projects as assigned.

Skills and experience include:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

10+ years of branch leadership in a financial institution.

Fiserv experience is crucial.

Strong knowledge of financial products, operations, and regulations.

Skills in communication, customer service, business acumen, leadership, and management.
