SMV Recruiting is currently looking for a 2nd shift Maintenance Mechanic to work for our client in Cicero, NY. This client is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to work on basic line control equipment and other production equipment around the manufacturing facility. In addition, they're seeking someone who will be tasks with projects and PMs as assigned including repairs around the facility. This is a direct hire role, union position with the ability to work over time, great benefits and very competitive pay!
Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance on production line control equipment in manufacturing facility
Install, troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis and repair on mechanical, pneumatic, electrical components of production equipment
Troubleshoot, repair and install manufacturing production equipment
Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on manufacturing equipment and other equipment around the facility
Uilitize basic test control equipment such as volt meters, amp meters and voltage tester micrometers
Install and maintenance A/C D/C motors, transmission systems and interface units
Collaborate with a team of skilled technicians to enhance the overall maintenance process
Identify and implement improvements to increase equipment efficiency and minimize downtime
Comply with safety guidelines and OHSA regulations to maintain a safe working environment
Requirements:
At least 4 years experience of related maintenance experience
2-4 years experience working in a manufacturing/indutrial environment
Ability to read blueprints, wire diagrams, schematics as needed
Trade school or relevant certifications in OSHA, mechanical or electrical fields are preferred
Prior experience working in the manufacturing/industrial industry with line control equipment is strongly preferred
