Full Job Description Opportunity for an experienced road Mechanic to inspect, service, and maintain range of specialty sandblasting, air compressors, pumps spray painting equipment and more.

Ideal candidates would be skilled with hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, welding, fabrication. Knowledge of motors, wiring, VFD drives and PLC troubleshooting experience.

As a service mechanic, you will be responsible for driving to the job site, inspecting equipment, carrying out services, work with service manager to quote and conduct repairs, and providing routine maintenance to the construction fleet. Most travel is local but there could be occasions to make a day trip.

To ensure success as a Mechanic, you should have proven experience working with some of this machinery, be physically fit, and be able to troubleshoot issues on the job site.

Specialty Equipment Technician Responsibilities:

Driving to the job site.

Inspecting company owned trucks, rental equipment, customer equipment in shop and on the road and other equipment for proper performance.

Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment when applicable.

Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts.

Repairing damaged equipment parts.

Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on equip and vehicles.

Cleaning and servicing of machine attachments like winches, blades, and side booms.

Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management.

Provide assistance to assemble, test and maintain company equipment.

Analyze root causes of equipment failures and propose corrective actions.

Provide support to troubleshoot the equipment problems.

Perform regular inspections to identify and correct equipment malfunctions, repairs and replacements.

Read and understand technical manuals for equipment operations and maintenances.

Adhere to company policies and safety regulations.

Develop preventive maintenance procedures to avoid equipment failures.

Maintain the facility clean, safe and organized.

Clean and lubricate equipment on regular basis.

Provide assistance and operations training to customers when needed.

Maintain documentation of equipment maintenance and repair procedures for future reference procedures.

Maintain inventory control of equipment tools and parts.

Propose improvements to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

Develop cost reduction initiatives by effective utilization of materials and resources.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.

Certification, experience as an equipment Mechanic. Proven work experience as a Equipment Mechanic.

Ability to lift heavy machinery.

Ability to work after-hours and to travel as required.

Good communication skills.
