3-4 years hands-on experience with BigData platform; comprehensive experience in Big Data processing using Apache Hadoop and its ecosystem (MapReduce, Pig, Hive, Sqoop, Flume, HBase). Specialization or hands-on experience in developing applications using advanced technologies such as Kafka, Spark, and Storm is preferred. Knowledge of configuring and administering Hadoop and its ecosystem components such as Hive, Pig, Sqoop. Experience importing and exporting data using Sqoop between HDFS and relational databases. Hands-on experience configuring and working with Flume to load data from multiple sources into HDFS. Deep understanding of Hadoop architecture and components like HDFS, Job Tracker, Name Node, Data Node, and MapReduce concepts. 5+ years experience in leading business process design, business events derivation, and data modeling. 5+ years experience in enterprise data architecture strategy, standards, and methodology. Experience applying future state data architecture concepts such as Data Lake and Big Data solutions. Exposure to large-scale enterprise data projects is essential. Deep understanding of RDBMS systems and Database Appliances like Oracle/RAC and Netezza. Experience reviewing design robustness and quality. TOGAF or similar architecture framework certification is preferred.
