Summary: Our client is seeking an experienced Plumber with a high school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years of related experience and possess the necessary technical skills, job knowledge, and physical ability to perform assigned job functions with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation and Planning:
Study building plans and drawings to determine required work aids and installation sequence. Inspect structures to avoid obstructions and ensure no weakening occurs due to pipe installation.
Installation and Maintenance:
Mark and locate positions for pipes and connections. Create openings in walls and floors for pipes using various tools. Cut, thread, and bend pipes as needed. Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes made of various materials. Join pipes using multiple methods like screws, bolts, and soldering.
System Testing and Repair:
Test pipe systems for leaks using pressure gauges. Install and repair plumbing fixtures (e.g., sinks, bathtubs, water heaters). Maintain plumbing by fixing leaks, burst pipes, and clearing clogs.
Regulatory Compliance and Documentation:
Provide data to Automated Information Systems (AIS). Adhere to regulations and guidelines like AR 750-1, AR 710-2, and others. Follow manufacturer's instructions, operational manuals, and disposal guidelines.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Minimum of two years related experience. Verifiable experience, certification, or license in plumbing. Ability to follow technical drawings and plans. Proficiency in using hand and power tools for plumbing tasks. Knowledge of current plumbing codes and safety standards. This position requires a skilled craft worker who is capable of working under minimal supervision and can ensure all plumbing systems function properly and safely.
