The Team Lead, Modification Processing, is responsible for overseeing a team of office-based Modification Processing associates, ensuring the efficient execution of loan modification activities in compliance with investor guidelines, federal and state regulations, and internal policies. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Modification Processing, this role plays a critical part in managing day-to-day operations, staff development, portfolio performance, and process adherence. This position is located at our Premier Park, West Palm Beach office, and is required to work onsite.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills to drive operational excellence, maintain regulatory compliance, and foster a collaborative team environment. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, effective communication across departments, and a commitment to continuous improvement in modification processing workflows.
Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Supervise a team of 8+ employees, and oversee daily loan modification processing activities to ensure timely and accurate execution.
Monitor workflow efficiency and implement process improvements where necessary.
Provide leadership and support to team members, ensuring adherence to GSE, CFPB, and internal compliance standards.
Conduct regular performance reviews and offer constructive feedback.
Strategically assign tasks and manage workload distribution to meet operational deadlines.
Track progress and adjust priorities as needed to maintain service levels.
Oversee loan file reviews to ensure compliance with investor guidelines, federal and state laws, and company policies.
Ensure accurate system updates and documentation of loan modification statuses.
Supervise the preparation and mailing of modification and subordinate mortgage documents to vendors and borrowers.
Ensure proper documentation of investor custodians in line with GSE requirements.
Facilitate effective communication between team members, internal departments, and external stakeholders.
Resolve escalated concerns related to loan files and document processing.
Provide regular updates to senior management on team performance, compliance issues, and operational metrics.
Escalate critical issues promptly and recommend solutions.
Train new hires and provide ongoing coaching to maintain high performance standards.
Keep team manuals and SOPs updated in accordance with regulatory changes and best practices.
Notarize documents and oversee notary responsibilities that are carried out by the team.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED, equivalent certification
1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role within a mortgage or financial services environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
Results driven with the ability to problem solve using analytical thinking.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Ability to develop and implement process improvements and strategic initiatives to enhance portfolio performance.
Proven track record of leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. Ability to supervise others with emphasis on productivity, quality and teamwork.

Training / Licensing Requirements:
Must pass the Company’s Background Screening process prior to beginning employment. Additionally, as a condition of employment, you may be required to pass client-specific background check requirements or Federal/State licensing requirements, if applicable.
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Notary commission is required for this role for execution of documents (electronic and traditional notarization).
Work Schedule:
Expected to arrive at work by 8:00 AM ET, Monday through Friday.
