Scope:
The Banquet Setup Attendant is responsible for the physical setup, maintenance, and breakdown of banquet and catering function rooms. This role ensures events are executed according to specifications while maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment that reflects the highest level of guest service.
Primary Responsibilities: Set up and/or break down banquet function rooms according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), including tables, chairs, staging, and audiovisual equipment. Maintain banquet rooms, hallways, storage areas, and service areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition. Properly clean, store, and secure banquet equipment and supplies after each event. Refresh meeting and event spaces as needed during breaks (e.g., clear trash, clean glassware, replenish water pitchers, replace linens). Respond promptly and professionally to guest and team member requests, ensuring satisfaction. Maintain a polished, professional appearance and follow all company policies and procedures. Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Basic reading, writing, and math required. Previous hospitality or event setup experience preferred. Licenses/Certifications:
Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit (as required by local/state regulations). Valid driver's license required. Skills: Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work efficiently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Team-oriented with attention to detail.
Working Conditions:
Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Fast-paced, event-driven environment with frequent time-sensitive tasks. Overtime may be required based on business needs. Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying throughout shifts. Must be able to lift and move items up to 100 lbs. (e.g., tables, chairs, stages).
