Overview
Rasmussen Mechanical Services is looking for an experienced
Industrial Air Service Technician
with at least
five (5) years of hands-on experience
in air compressor and compressed air system service. In this role, you will perform service calls, troubleshooting, and installations on air system products such as compressors, dryers, filtration systems, condensate management, blowers, vacuum systems, and nitrogen generators.

Perform service calls, repairs, troubleshooting, and start-ups on compressed air systems and related equipment. Support projects including compressor installations, air support equipment installations, and commissioning/start-ups. Troubleshoot and repair compressors, blowers, vacuum systems, boosters, nitrogen generators, dryers, filters, piping, and other ancillary components. Maintain accurate and timely documentation: daily time reporting, service orders/reports, job safety analysis, and material check-in/out sheets. Maintain and organize truck inventory; schedule vehicle maintenance/repairs as needed. Lead on-site crews, including subcontractors, ensuring safety and efficiency when assigned in a supervisory role. Provide mentorship and training to junior technicians and team members. Attend ongoing training programs, seminars, and maintain all required certifications and licenses. Respond to emergency calls as needed, including out-of-town, weekend, holiday, and after-hours work. Overtime is paid per RMS policies or collective bargaining agreements. Comply with all Rasmussen Mechanical Services policies, including Safety, Driving, and Customer Site-Specific requirements. What We're Looking For Experience & Skills Minimum of 5 years
of documented experience in compressed air systems service and troubleshooting. Proven expertise with: Air compressors, blowers, vacuum systems, boosters, and nitrogen generators Compressed air distribution systems Ancillary systems including condensate removal, dryers, filtration, piping, and receivers
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Customer-focused, self-motivated, and highly organized. Computer literacy with solid knowledge of office software and digital reporting tools. Desire to learn new technologies and continuously improve processes. Education & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred). Professional or industry-specific certifications and licenses required (with continuing education as applicable).
