Qualifications
The Business Intelligence Consultant position requires: At least 5 years of MicroStrategy development experience At least 2 years of customer-facing experience Additional requirements include: SQL and database experience with major RDBMS (Teradata, Aster, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.), including select statements, joins, database functions, SQL debugging, and stored procedures Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint) Excellent oral and written communication skills Responsibilities
Develop new dashboards from scratch Create metrics (simple and compound) with understanding of settings like Smart Total, inner/outer join, dynamic aggregation Build cubes/datasets Create dashboard objects such as panel stacks and panels for information views Design grids and graphs with formatting and filtering options Implement selectors for targeting (filter vs. slice) Design text boxes and images with good placement and alignment Develop navigation and links, adhering to best practices for drilling to other objects Build dashboards with performance considerations in mind Utilize JPG images in dashboards
