Washington, DC, Hybrid (3–4 days/week in office) Salary Range:

$65,000 – $80,000 annually (commensurate with experience) The Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law (LDB) seeks a highly organized and mission-driven professional to support its policy, advocacy, and educational efforts. The Government Affairs & Events Coordinator will be responsible for planning and executing events, webinars, and congressional meetings; scheduling lobbying and advocacy meetings; and providing administrative support to senior leadership. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and a deep commitment to LDB’s mission of combating antisemitism and promoting civil and human rights. Key Responsibilities Event & Meeting Coordination Plan, organize, and execute in-person and virtual events, including educational webinars, advocacy briefings, and conferences. Coordinate congressional meetings and other advocacy events, including room bookings, security clearances, and materials preparation. Liaise with vendors, venues, and partner organizations to ensure smooth logistics. Schedule lobbying meetings with congressional offices, executive agencies, and other stakeholders. Maintain an updated calendar of advocacy events, hearings, and relevant policy deadlines. Support the preparation of briefing materials, talking points, and follow-up correspondence for legislative engagements. Administrative Support Manage calendars for senior leadership, ensuring efficient scheduling and prioritization of commitments. Assist with travel arrangements, expense tracking, and project timelines. Maintain organized records of events, meetings, and advocacy efforts. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in political science, public policy, communications, event management, or related field. 2–5 years of experience in event coordination, legislative scheduling, or advocacy support. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Commitment to the mission of the Brandeis Center, including combating antisemitism and defending civil and human rights. Preferred Experience working in a nonprofit, advocacy organization, congressional office, or government agency. Knowledge of congressional processes and DC advocacy community. Proficiency with virtual event platforms Hybrid role with 3–4 days/week in the DC office. Some evening or early morning work required for events or meetings.
