Position Summary:
The
Maintenance Technician
is responsible for performing skilled maintenance and repair work across the property. This includes, but is not limited to, HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing work, general building repairs, and scheduled preventive maintenance. The role ensures the property remains safe, functional, and visually appealing for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities: Perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting. Complete preventive maintenance on all equipment and systems as scheduled. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues, ensuring timely and cost-effective repairs. Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition. Respond promptly to service requests from other departments or guests. Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and other seasonal property upkeep. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Maintain documentation of all maintenance activities and inspections. Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school certification preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) are a plus. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (MVR) required. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in general maintenance or a related field preferred. Experience with hand and power tools, and basic mechanical knowledge, is highly desirable. Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently. Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders for extended periods. Comfortable working in tight spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions. Must be able to quickly navigate all areas of the property. Core Competencies:
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to remain calm and perform effectively under pressure. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent time management and prioritization abilities. Demonstrates sound judgment when evaluating options and resolving issues.
