DESCRIPTION:

The Nassau BOCES Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Technology (CIT) is seeking a Program Specialist II to support the Student Information Systems program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Providing on-site training, email and phone support to district and building employees, including administrators, teachers and clerical staff, on the use of the following Student Information Systems:

PowerSchool, SchoolTool, Infinite Campus and eSchoolData.

Assisting districts with developing student schedules, troubleshooting grading and transcript calculations, and creating training materials. Providing 1:1 or group professional development to district staff. Assisting districts with state reporting rules, regulations and data verification. Researching issues related to student data, analysis of data extracts and other duties related to student information systems. REQUIREMENTS:

New York State Education Department (NYSED) Teaching Certification NYSED Certification: School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administrator (SDA) is preferred Knowledge of PowerSchool, SchoolTool, Infinite Campus or eSchoolData (training will be provided) Excellent written, verbal, presentation and communication skills Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
