We seek a Sr. Product Manager and Counsel – Privacy & Governance to bridge product leadership and legal expertise, driving innovation and ensuring compliance with global regulations. This hybrid role combines strategic product ownership with legal counsel responsibilities, embedding privacy, governance, and security into product development, customer experience, and organizational processes. Responsibilities

Product Leadership

Own the full product lifecycle, from conception to launch and iteration. Partner with cross-functional teams to define and execute the privacy and governance roadmap. Embed privacy-by-design and security-by-design principles across products. Translate legal and regulatory requirements into scalable features and workflows. Write clear requirements, prioritize backlogs, and ensure timely delivery of features. Engage with CISOs, DPOs, legal teams, and regulators to gather insights and refine strategies. Measure post-launch adoption and outcomes to inform future iterations. Product Counsel

Serve as embedded legal advisor throughout the product lifecycle. Monitor and interpret global privacy, data protection, AI, and security regulations. Draft and negotiate privacy policies, terms of service, and data agreements. Collaborate on incident response planning and documentation. Advise on product risks and support remediation efforts. Support intellectual property strategies related to product innovations. Partner with customer-facing teams for clear, legally vetted communications during incidents. Program Development & Compliance

Build and scale privacy and governance programs, including risk assessments and data mapping. Operationalize continuous compliance monitoring with engineering and security teams. Educate internal teams on privacy, AI governance, and compliance-by-design. Qualifications

J.D. and active law license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Experience in product management or similar roles in B2B SaaS, at the intersection of law, privacy, and tech. Deep knowledge of global privacy laws and AI regulations (GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act, NIST, etc.). Ability to translate legal requirements into product features and communicate complex concepts clearly. Strong strategic, execution, and collaboration skills. Bonus Points

Privacy/security certifications like CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT. Experience with AI/ML governance and model compliance. IP advisory experience in tech sector. About Relyance AI
