QA/QC Planner & Scheduler – Global Physical Security Program APS (Augment Professional Services) Position Overview APS is seeking an experienced
QA/QC Planner & Scheduler
to join a global physical security program team, responsible for developing and maintaining integrated schedules that align physical security milestones with overall general contractor (GC) construction schedules. This role will own the planning and scheduling process across multiple global projects, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication among stakeholders. The ideal candidate has
strong Primavera P6 expertise , a background in QA/QC or scheduling within construction or technology projects, and the ability to bridge communication between program leadership, regional project managers, and site teams. Experience in
physical security system installation projects
is highly valued, though not required. Key Responsibilities Scheduling Ownership:
Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules in
Primavera P6 , ensuring physical security milestones are fully integrated into GC schedules. QA/QC Alignment:
Incorporate quality control checkpoints and commissioning activities into schedules, ensuring deliverables align with both construction timelines and program QA/QC requirements. Change Management:
Continuously update schedules to reflect site changes, delays, or scope adjustments, maintaining accuracy and alignment with real-world project progress. Communication & Coordination:
Act as the central point of communication for all schedule-related matters, distributing updates to global program leaders, regional TPMs, site TPMs, and security stakeholders. Stakeholder Interface:
Collaborate closely with general contractors, integrators, and design teams to validate milestones and ensure security-related activities are represented in master schedules. Risk & Impact Analysis:
Identify potential schedule risks, impacts to critical path, and propose mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines. Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare schedule reports, milestone trackers, and variance analyses for executive and operational stakeholders. Standardization:
Establish and enforce global scheduling standards, templates, and reporting formats for consistency across all projects. Cross-Functional Support:
Partner with QA/QC teams, commissioning leads, and project managers to ensure schedules reflect quality requirements and testing/acceptance activities. Qualifications Qualifications & Experience Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted. Experience: 5+ years of experience as a project scheduler, planner, or QA/QC coordinator within large-scale construction or technology-based projects. Experience with
physical security projects
(access control, CCTV, intrusion detection) is strongly preferred. Background in working with general contractors, integrators, or large program teams in data center or office environments. Technical Skills: Expert proficiency with
Primavera P6
scheduling software. Familiarity with construction QA/QC processes and integration of commissioning activities into master schedules. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and project reporting tools. Certifications: PMP, PSP, or PMI-SP certifications are a plus. ASIS certifications (PSP, CPP) desirable if security background is present. Core Skills: Exceptional organizational and planning abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills for global stakeholder coordination. Ability to analyze schedule data and clearly communicate impacts to non-technical stakeholders. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple concurrent project schedules. Key Attributes Highly analytical with a process-driven mindset. Comfortable working in a
global, multi-project environment
with competing priorities. Collaborative communicator able to bridge gaps between technical teams, contractors, and program leadership. Proactive in identifying schedule risks and ensuring accountability for updates and deliverables. Detail- and quality-focused, with a strong sense of ownership over process and outcomes.
