Job Position: Brake Press Operator
Location: Grand Prairie, TX 75050
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr
Shift: 1st Shift
Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience with various machining processes. This role involves operating equipment, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a safe work environment. The Operator will play a crucial role in the production process, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.
Job Responsibilities/Duties: Sheet Cutting
Receive daily production plans or directives from the department supervisor. Select and pull materials according the to the Shop Order and check materials. thicknesses using micrometers or calipers. Measure and cuts profiles and extrusions to specified lengths. Cut/Shear sheets of aluminum, steel and stainless steel using the hydraulic shear. Deburr sharp edges. Organize parts, mark/identify the parts according to print and associate job orders. Bend tubes using single and double radius benders. Drill and punch holes as needed. Maintain job travelers Qualifications and Skills
Must be able to use measuring devices such as tape measures and thickness gauges. Must be able to read, write and understand written and oral instruction in English. Able to check the quality of work performed and ensure parts are conforming to prints ore specifications. Reliable and have own transportation Must be able to meet the physical requirements for the position standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending and lifting. Able to work in a typical factory setting with exposure to noise, dust, heat and cold. Able to wear required PPE including safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves and protective clothing.
