POSITION SUMMARY: A Preconstruction Manager has a focus on companywide success in adherence to organization's Standards and all preconstruction activities directed for the support of preparation and undertaking for all of organization's preconstruction services. The Preconstruction Manager is a LEADER
and the role can be broken down to
3 key areas of expertise : Estimating:
managing a team of supporting estimators, coordinating take-off and pricing responsibilities. Coordinating subcontractor bids and budgeting efforts, assisting in estimating and tab sheet creation. Cost knowledge of a variety of systems and building types with the ability to utilize this knowledge and developing Conceptual and Schematic Level Budgets with little information.
Project Manager:
Drive the budgeting and design process to success by managing Client and Design Team expectations for not only costs, but schedule, logistics, and quality. You will also be expected to coordinate with our Field Operations Teams on schedule, logistics, constructability reviews, etc.
Business Development:
WIN WORK!!! by attending project interviews, meeting with clients and design teams to review upcoming projects, and develop strategies to bring on new clients. This role also includes maintaining and creating relationships with our large pool of Trade Partners and staying up to date on the latest pricing, labor needs, material lead-times, etc. Our Trade Partners love working with us. Lead budget presentations with Clients and Design Teams as well as with our own project teams. Lead Pre-bid efforts with our Trade Partners.
