The Customer Service Representative assists with maintaining smooth and professional communication with our customers and ensures that third party drivers are adhering to company and customer policies related to delivery of products and goods. The CSR will coordinate production to meet customer demands in a fast paced environment.
Major tasks, responsibilities, and key accountabilities:
Perform as an assistant to both the HPP/VAS Supervisors and the HPP/VAS clerical staff. Writing orders, making bills of lading, checking in trucks, answering phones, communicating with customers, data entry, record-keeping. This individual must be able to lead, coordinate and prioritize Dock operation tasks directed by supervisor. Under the direct supervision of the operations manager this position provides administrative and clerical support for the Operations Manager and the Malvern location. Responding to customer phone calls and emails Scheduling inbound and out bound trucks Coordination and communication with dock employees regarding products Accurately tracking product inventory via provided tracking methods Assists with record maintenance and filing Verify inventory is scanned in accurately - inbound and outbound on HPP/VAS Creating picks properly with minimal errors Getting the week closed on Monday Follow health, safety, and cleanliness standards Handle other duties as assigned by supervisor Additional Responsibilities:
Excellent attendance and punctuality for an hourly role Demonstrate ability to use verbal and written communication effectively Utilize soft skills dealing with customers Overtime is required when necessary Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED required 2 - 3 years of experience in customer service or phone order entry role preferred Good computer skills including Word and Excel. Experience with Access preferred Experience with Warehouse Management Systems preferred Must be able to prioritize and perform position responsibilities accurately and to deadline. Ability to work calmly and professionally under pressure Helpful / cooperative attitude and a team player Pleasant phone voice that projects responsiveness and sincerity Ability and initiative to implement process improvements Ability to communicate effectively in English language Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Working Conditions:
This role is
office-based
and occasionally operates in a wet and cold/refrigerated environment (usually 38 degrees F) located within a manufacturing, warehousing, and production-type facility. Must be able to withstand cold temperatures for the duration of shift when necessary Ability to walk the production floor when job requires Ability to perform sedentary work, stand regularly, bend, twist occasionally The ability to perform repetitive bending and walking is also required. This would require the ability to lift 10-35 lbs. occasionally. Hourly Employees : Universal Pure facilities may process, pack, and store products containing allergenic food ingredients as referenced by FDA, team members who may come in direct contact, must be able to work with these ingredients.
