We are looking for a Civil Site Design Engineer that is responsible for the design and coordination of civil engineering aspects of land development and site design projects. This role will work closely with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies to deliver high-quality, constructible, and compliant design plans on schedule. Project may include commerical, residential municipal civil design and construction for stormwater management, water and sewer systems, and site grading.including grading, parking studies, utility layout, and erosion control.
Responsibilities:
Prepare site civil engineering plans, including grading, drainage, utilities, and erosion control. Develop construction documents and details in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Coordinate with other disciplines, including survey, architecture, and landscape architecture. Review and apply applicable codes, permitting requirements, and design standards. Prepare and submit permitting documents to local and state agencies. Support project managers with client communication, meetings, and project updates. Assist in preparing cost estimates and quantities for project budgeting. Conduct site visits for due diligence, design verification, and construction observation as needed. Manage multiple project deadlines while maintaining quality standards. Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. 8-10+ years of relevant site design experience NC PE license required. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required. Knowledge of hydrology and stormwater management design principles. Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to land development. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
