Position Overview:
We are seeking a
Senior Logistics Analyst
with deep, practical experience in
USAF acquisition logistics , focused on executing responsibilities aligned with the
Integrated Product Support Elements (IPSEs) -specifically
IPSEs 1-4 : Product Support Management, Design Interface, Sustaining Engineering, and Supply Support. This role supports both the
Program Manager (PM)
and
Product Support Manager (PSM)
across the full
acquisition lifecycle , from early strategy development to sustainment execution. Candidates must demonstrate actual application of acquisition logistics functions-not just theoretical understanding or adjacent experience. C-130H DSOAR Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a key logistics advisor supporting the
PSM's Total Life Cycle Systems Management responsibilities , including planning and executing logistics strategies across acquisition phases. Provide logistics and acquisition support for:
Development and execution of
Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs) ,
Business Case Analyses (BCAs) , and
Post Production Transition Plans (PPTP) Planning and implementation of
Post Production Support Plans (PPSP)
and
Transition to Post Production (TPP)
strategies.
Lead or directly support efforts in
design interface reviews, modification and retrofit programs , and engineering change assessments with focus on lifecycle impacts. Assist in acquisition management, procurement tracking, provisioning, and asset management for critical components including
insurance spares, tooling, SE, and support items . Coordinate all elements of
Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
to ensure readiness across:
Spares Support Equipment (SE) / Automatic Test Systems (ATS) Technical data/TOs Manpower, personnel, training Facilities Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) Supply support and computer resources
Support milestone documentation and planning across the
Materiel Solution Analysis, TMRR, EMD, Production & Deployment, and O&S phases
of the Defense Acquisition System. Apply experience in depot-level sustainment, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), level of repair analysis (LORA), and logistics risk mitigation. Participate in technical and programmatic reviews to ensure effective and affordable product support strategies are integrated into system design. Analyze and resolve
Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS)
and
MICAP
issues, and support SORAP and field assessments. Evaluate and recommend strategies for
contractor logistics support (CLS), interim contractor support (ICS) , and
maintenance activation

Requirements
Senior Minimum Required Qualifications: Active
Secret DoD Clearance
or the ability to obtain and maintain a
security clearance
at the required level - NO Exceptions U.S. Citizenship required for U.S. Government entity. AND One of the following combinations of education/experience:
MA/MS degree, and twelve (12) years of experience
in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five
(5) years of which must be in the DoD . BA/BS, fifteen (15) years of experience
in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed,
five (5) of which must be in the DoD. HSD/GED, twenty (20) years
of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions,
five (5) of which must be in the DoD .
Demonstrated
hands-on experience
with
IPSEs 1-4 : PSM, Design Interface, Sustaining Engineering, and Supply Support- not just academic familiarity . Experience authoring or managing LCSPs, BCAs, modification design interface evaluations, or post-production transition strategies. Active involvement in a USAF
acquisition-coded billet , or equivalent role within a DoD program office supporting major weapon systems. Familiarity with
AFLCMC, AFSC, or program offices at the center-level
in support of USAF platforms. Knowledge of USAF maintenance structure, depot processes, and interface with sustainment logistics functions. Ability to interpret and apply DoD, AF, and local logistics/acquisition policies across the lifecycle. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction with PMs, engineers, sustainment teams, and senior leadership. Possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills to develop and maintain working relationships with the internal and external personnel involved with the project or program. Possess the knowledge, experience, and recognized ability to be considered an expert in the technical/professional field. Preferred Qualifications: DAWIA Level II or III (or equivalent) in
Life Cycle Logistics or Program Management . Experience supporting acquisition or sustainment of
USAF aircraft systems
(bonus if maintenance experience is present). Working knowledge of SORAP, RCM, LORA, aircraft battle damage repair, and supportability trade studies. Experience planning for or overseeing
interim contractor support (ICS) ,
CLS , or
Depot Activation
activities. Expertise in identifying logistics and sustainment impacts from design and configuration changes during the EMD or Production phases.
