Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to join our client's food manufacturing plant. The HR Manager will play a crucial role in managing the human resources functions, ensuring compliance with labor laws, fostering a positive work environment, and driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement and productivity. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of HR best practices in the manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities: Talent Acquisition and Retention: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent. Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new hires are well-integrated into the company culture. Implement retention programs to reduce turnover and improve employee satisfaction.
Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, providing guidance and resolving conflicts. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through employee engagement initiatives. Conduct regular employee satisfaction surveys and implement action plans based on feedback.
Performance Management: Develop and manage performance appraisal systems to drive high performance. Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management and employee development. Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs.
Compliance and Policy Management: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations. Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures. Manage employee records and maintain confidentiality.
Compensation and Benefits: Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs. Conduct regular benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation packages. Manage employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
Health and Safety: Collaborate with the health and safety team to ensure a safe working environment. Implement health and wellness programs to promote employee well-being.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of HR management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of HR principles, labor laws, and best practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
