About the Role:

The Maintenance Mechanic-I plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment within the Non-Durable Goods Manufacturing sector at our Kapolei Facility. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. The ideal candidate will contribute to the overall efficiency of production processes by maintaining equipment in optimal working condition. Additionally, this role involves collaborating with other team members to implement preventive maintenance strategies and improve operational reliability. Ultimately, the Maintenance Mechanic-I will help uphold our commitment to quality and safety in manufacturing operations.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role. Basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications:

Technical certification in mechanical maintenance or a related field. Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in non-durable goods. Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in industrial settings. Proficiency in using hand and power tools relevant to maintenance tasks. Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed. Responsibilities:

Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner. Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment as required. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Collaborate with production staff to identify and resolve equipment-related issues.

Skills:

The required skills for this position, such as mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities, are essential for diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions effectively. Daily work will involve using hand and power tools to perform repairs, which requires a solid understanding of safety protocols. Preferred skills, like familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, will enhance the candidate's ability to maintain a diverse range of machinery. Strong communication skills will be utilized when collaborating with team members to address production challenges. This position qualifies for our "Sign on Bonus Program" of up to $600. Upon becoming an employee of RPI after the first 90-days you will receive a payment of $300 and after your completion of 6 month with our company you will receive another payment of $300.
