We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer with a PE and design and project managment experience with Land Development. Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Senior Civil Engineer
with a
Professional Engineer (PE) license
and
extensive experience in land development . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site civil design, permitting, and project management, particularly within
nne Arundel County, MD . This role offers the opportunity to lead a variety of challenging land development projects from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage land development projects including residential, commercial, mixed-use, and institutional site design. Prepare, review, and approve civil engineering plans including grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and utility design. Oversee the permitting process and coordinate with local jurisdictions, including Anne Arundel County agencies and Maryland state entities. Supervise and mentor junior engineers and design staff. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget. Conduct site visits and attend client and public meetings as needed. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including planners, surveyors, architects, and environmental consultants. Maintain strong client relationships and support business development efforts. Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering ctive
Professional Engineer (PE) license
in the state of Maryland. 8-15 years of progressive experience in
civil/site engineering
with a focus on
land development . Demonstrated experience managing projects in
nne Arundel County, MD
is preferred. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other engineering software. Strong understanding of local zoning, stormwater management regulations, and permitting processes. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and mentor junior staff.
