Job Title:
Mechanic II
Job Summary: The Mechanic II is a skilled-level position responsible for performing advanced maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of motorized equipment, including gasoline and diesel engines.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform independent diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles, equipment, and industrial machinery. Conduct preventive maintenance on pumps, compressors, generators, engines, and various mechanical systems at water treatment plants and pumping stations. Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection reports. Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a utility or industrial setting. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond to emergency situations. High school diploma or GED required; completion of a vocational or technical program in mechanics or a related field preferred. Valid driver’s license required; CDL may be preferred depending on job duties. Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and operate in varying environmental conditions.
