HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in the Manufacturing industry in Fort Wayne, IN!
Salary:
$25$37/hour, based on experience
Shift:
2:00 PM10:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Location:
Fort Wayne, IN
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues using blueprints, manuals, and engineering specifications.
Maintain processing equipment, including pipe fitting, welding, and fabrication tasks.
Adjust and repair packaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Perform routine preventive maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication of machinery components.
Collaborate with Operations and external contractors to minimize downtime and ensure plant reliability.
Install and repair electrical and mechanical equipment as needed.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and operational standards.
Education Requirements
High school diploma or GED ().
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
At least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
Experience with PLCs and ammonia refrigeration is a plus.
Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
Must possess own hand tools; specialty tools will be provided.
Ability to pass post-offer drug tests, alcohol screenings, and physical exams.
