Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced
Project Manager / Estimator
to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing excavation and underground utility projects from bid to closeout, including estimating costs, managing budgets, coordinating crews and subcontractors, and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within scope.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate estimates and bids for excavation and utility projects
Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Manage project timelines, schedules, and budgets
Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, and suppliers
Monitor job site progress and resolve issues as they arise
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Communicate with clients, engineers, and inspectors as needed
Track change orders and project documentation
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in excavation, underground utilities, or sitework
Proven experience in estimating and project management
Strong understanding of civil site plans and utility systems (water, sewer, storm)
Proficient in estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and project management tools
Excellent communication and organizational skills
