Monroe Capital LLC . Description Monroe Capital is seeking candidates for its investment team in Chicago to underwrite and manage investments for Monroe’s private credit funds. The role involves underwriting investment opportunities and managing existing portfolio investments as part of a team. Job Responsibilities Analyze potential investment opportunities through review of offering materials, industry research, financial statement analysis, and modeling. Prepare investment committee memos and present transactions for approval. Coordinate with investment bankers, private equity firms, due diligence providers, and other professionals during underwriting and due diligence. Review legal terms and documentation on transactions. Manage a portfolio of syndicated and club loans, perform ongoing due diligence, monitor portfolio companies, and communicate updates. Summarize amendment transactions for portfolio deals. Requirements The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in: Leveraged finance, investment banking, or corporate banking Credit/equity research Principal investing (private credit, high yield, private equity) Strategy consulting (private equity due diligence) Accounting at a recognized firm Plus a bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university, strong finance and accounting skills, high curiosity, multitasking ability, attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements Sitting most of the day, with some standing, walking, lifting, reaching, typing, and speaking, as detailed above. Compensation Base salary range: $80,000 - $120,000, with potential additional benefits and discretionary awards. Details will be provided upon offer.
