Metering Engineer

12 months Overview of the Role
Our client is seeking a Technical Metering Project Manager/Engineer to oversee metering systems for renewable development, design, and construction. The role involves ensuring all metering activities meet project requirements and align with commercial agreements, spanning from concept development through construction and commissioning. The position will interface with engineering, development, business management, transmission services, and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and time management skills, experience with
commercial/contractual
agreements, comprehensive knowledge of substation design, and expertise in complex metering systems. Experience coordinating with diverse stakeholders and managing third-party engineering firms is essential. Key Responsibilities
Provide engineering, design, and development support Track and report on project contractual execution and design progress Ensure compliance with company standards and policies Prepare communications and presentations; support meetings Research and develop improvement measures Collaborate with other departments to establish customer requirements Work extended hours as needed Perform other related duties as assigned Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering Minimum of 3 years in P&C/Substation/Metering Engineering and Project Management At least 3-5 years of metering experience, including reading protection & control drawings, understanding instrument transformers (CT, PTs, CVTs), and familiarity with metering technologies, especially Schneider Electric ION-8650 meters Knowledge of meter-to-meter schemes, transformer loss compensation methods, and programming meters or creating metering templates Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Engineering Management PMP Certification Over 5 years of P&C/Substation/Metering Engineering experience with at least 2 years in project management Perks of Working with AP Recruiters & Associates
