Senior Consultant Data & Technology

Eclipse Consulting Group is looking for a technically-minded Senior Consultant to support client engagements focused on data management, data quality, and regulatory data compliance. You will contribute to projects by executing technical tasks that help clients strengthen data governance, improve data integrity, and optimize data flows across their environments. Key Responsibilities: Support the development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise data assets, helping document relationships, keys, and structures. Assist in the definition and implementation of data architecture standards, including best practices around normalization, domains, and referential integrity. Map current- and target-state data flows across systems, identifying key integration points, gaps, and transformation logic. Analyze existing databases and data sources to validate models and inform architecture decisions. Collaborate with architects to design data platforms that enable effective governance, quality controls, and regulatory compliance. Help document metadata, lineage, and transformation rules using data catalogs, lineage tools, or architecture diagrams. Contribute to solution design activities, including requirements gathering, impact analysis, and support for data platform implementations. Qualifications: 46 years of experience in data analysis, architecture, or solution delivery, ideally in consulting or Financial Services. Familiarity with data modeling tools and techniques (e.g., ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, dbt, or UML tools); experience creating ERDs or logical schemas. Working knowledge of data architecture concepts, including OLTP vs. OLAP structures, normalized vs. denormalized design, and data integration patterns. Hands-on experience with SQL or similar query languages; comfort navigating and analyzing structured datasets. Exposure to data governance, data quality, metadata management, and lineage tracking tools or methodologies. Strong documentation and analytical skills, with the ability to support senior team members in executing technical delivery. Interest in learning about enterprise data platforms, cloud-based architectures, and emerging best practices in data strategy.
