Duvera's client, a Houston-based labor & employment plaintiff firm with a nationwide reach, is searching for an
Associate Attorney
with at least 3 years of litigation experience.
No personal injury workno chasing clients.
All thats required is a strong litigation background, proven stability, and a passion for people. The cases are plentiful, and the client base is steady! Were seeking a sharp litigator from either the plaintiff or defense side to prosecute or defend class and collective claims. Attorneys with experience in class actions or mass torts will thrive in this environment. PI attorneys looking for a meaningful career shift are also encouraged to apply. If youre passionate about advocating for peopleespecially employeesthis is an outstanding opportunity. Represent clients in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings; prepare for and participate in trials and arbitration hearings alongside a partner. Draft written discovery, deficiency notices, subpoenas, and assist the legal team in responding to discovery served on clients. Review documents produced in discovery. Collaborate with the briefing team to conduct legal research and writing; stay familiar with applicable laws, precedent, and authorities relevant to each case. Prepare or assist in preparing legal pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other documents. Engage in settlement negotiations, participate in mediations, and attend formal and informal settlement conferences. Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school 310 years of litigation experience Significant experience with depositions and in-court advocacy at hearings Trial experience, including evidentiary and legal arguments and direct/cross-examination of witnesses Proficiency in legal research tools and litigation software Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Experience with trial preparation and managing high-stakes litigation Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior attorneys and staff Willingness to travel nationally The firm offers an excellent base salary plus bonus, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes: 100% paid insurance premiums for employees (and partially paid premiums for dependents) 401(k) with employer match 3 months of
