This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company's locations: Driftwood Golf and Ranch Club set outside of Austin, TX. Driftwood Golf and Ranch Club is seeking a Comfort Station Manager to join the Food and Beverage Service Department. The Comfort Station Manager is responsible for creating and contributing to the great member and guest experience on the golf course. In the role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees. Key Responsibilities Assist all golf course Food and Beverage and housekeeping staff to provide an excellent experience for our members and their guests. Keep the on-course station areas stocked, clean, and organized. Maintain inventory, staffing, and product on the golf course. Build and maintain a cooperative, detail-oriented and autonomous team. Maintain proper staffing levels in all areas under their supervision. Assist with onboarding new employees, ensure all paperwork is completed. Assist with training and educate employees under the golf course umbrella. Work with Food and Beverage management to make sure payroll is accurate and any necessary paperwork has been completed. Maintain budget in all respective areas (labor, promotional goods, paper goods, etc). Work with Food and Beverage management to create standard operating procedures to create consistency through the various activations on the course. Keep a fresh, high quality, and rotating inventory on all golf course stations. Communicate and place orders to appropriate people and vendors to ensure pars are maintained and quality is sustained. Ensure all areas are kept clean and organized. Provide necessary tools and equipment to make sure these areas are pleasant to the members and their guests. Responsible for event activations on the golf course. Ensure they are set up and complete by the necessary time and that set up and break down are completed in a timely manner. Be creative in adapting unique concepts for the comfort stations during events and tournaments. Maintain cleanliness and organization of golf course amenity areas at all times. Promptly report any hazards, unsafe working conditions, or equipment which requires repair/maintenance. Adhere to all Health Department food and safety standards. Comply with company and department policies and procedures at all times. Demonstrate sense or urgency for responding to guest needs during all interactions. Report to work in specified proper, provided attire in compliance with club standards for appearance and uniform. While operating with integrity, maintaining a fun environment for members and staff alike. Responsible for scheduling the comfort station staff and adjust accordingly as the time of year and weather requires. Source and establish relationships with vendors. Any other duties as assigned. Qualifications At least three years' food and beverage experience preferably in luxury resorts, private clubs or fine dining establishments with previous role(s) in a leadership capacity. Knowledge of food safety standards; possesses or can obtain Food Handlers & TABC Certifications Knowledgeable in wines, beers, and mixed beverages. Strong skills in budget development and oversight. Multi-tasking and time management skills to organize workflow and manage multiple deadlines. Additional Requirements Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members. Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds. Flexibility and ability to pivot to new projects and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
