The HSS Imaging is nationally and internationally recognized as the premier center for leading edge musculoskeletal, orthopedic, and rheumatologic clinical and research imaging. Supporting the delivery of the highest quality of patient care, the MRI Technologist will work in a State-of-the-Art Imaging facility. Primary focus will be to perform MRI examinations on 1.5T and 3.0T GE systems while ensuring the highest standards of safety for patients of all age categories. The role will also be required to properly store and maintain equipment, instruct patients on exams, and accurately log and document relevant information. Manages image & clinical data within PACS, RIS and EMR systems All within HIPAA rules and regulations Analyzes image quality, Quality Control, and safety plans and takes appropriate action when required Exhibit proficiency in providing x-rays within ALARA principles and Image Wisely standards Reviews patient history and physician orders, and communicates information effectively Maintains a clean and organized workspace with conformance to standard infection control measures, OSHA requirements and a patient-centric environment Strong verbal and written communication skills required Ability to work independently and in team environments Qualifications Required
Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiography (A. A.S.) as well as formal MRI training. Graduate Radiology EDUCATION PREFERRED Bachelors CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE REQUIRED Registered Technologist, ARRT, R. T., FL license and registration of license at FL DOH CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE PREFERRED Advanced certification by ARRT (MR) preferred SKILLS PREFERRED Bilingual a plus PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight Continuously stand/walk or lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight (20 to 50 lbs). Examples: Nurses, LPNs, and Physical Therapists. ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS Indoor area with frequent exposure Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature, and noise. Examples: patient care providers and laboratory technicians. HAZARDS OSHA Category 3 Tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, or other potentially infectious materials and Category 1 tasks are not a condition of employment. POSITION & UNIT ACCOUNTABILITIES Develops/Manages Processes & Systems - Assists with contracts Assists in the negotiation of physician managed care contracts, analytics, and financial modeling. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff - Coordinates enrollment Coordinates physician enrollment in managed care plans. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff - Ensures compliance Ensures compliance of managed care companies with negotiated contracts. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff - Resolves payor issues Follows-up and resolving payment issues with Insurance Payors. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff - Acts as liaison Acts as a liaison between physician offices and Insurance Payors. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff - Assists with meetings Schedules, coordinates, and documents for all PHO related meetings. Maintains Documentation & Manages Information - Maintains tracking logs Creates and maintains tracking logs for Insurance Payor issues and accountability for closing out items. Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff - Oversees PHO line Oversees PHO phone line, answers and responds to inquires, and assist with urgent physician office issues.
