The AVP, Outpatient Services is responsible for overseeing the development and management of outpatient service lines across the behavioral health division including service line development, patient safety & outcomes, clinical excellence, regulatory adherence, and growth expectations. Reporting to the Vice President of Outpatient Services, the Assoc. VP of Outpatient Services will supervise a team of regionally based Market Directors, with focus on driving integration, innovation, performance improvement, and team development across the behavioral health division. This role will ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while driving operational efficiency and alignment with organizational goals, the company mission, regulatory standards, and clinical best practices. Oversee the day-to-day operations of hospital-based outpatient departments including: Delivery of treatment services All components of the patient journey process including admissions Handling of discharges and transfers Ensuring clinical compliance with state & regulatory requirements Adherence to performance improvement benchmarks Developing, reviewing, and maintaining the clinic's Quality Assurance Plan and performance improvement of tasks Ensuring the implementation and adherence of program management Ensuring program adherence to state and company incident reporting procedures Oversee the management of program & satellite development Ensuring workflows pertaining to complaints/grievances are prompt and appropriately handled in accordance with policy and regulations Monitoring/evaluating the utilization of the patient satisfaction survey and evaluating trends Directly supervise team of 8 Market Directors Outpatient Services Collaborate with local and national Business Development teams, ensuring alignment with new existing service lines Performs other duties as assigned/required. Qualifications: Master's degree in healthcare administration, Business, Social Work, Psychology or a related field required. Minimum 10-years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations or strategic growth in behavioral health or healthcare operations, with at least 5 years in a multi-site leadership role. At least 5 years of experience with outpatient program & service line development with proven success in the implementation & scaling of service lines. Proven track record of driving operational performance, improving access to care, and leading high-performing teams. Strong understanding of outpatient behavioral health service delivery models including PHP, IOP, Traditional Outpatient, and Telehealth. Up to 50% travel required across the division.
